Blue Springs State Park 2004

Near Orange City, Fl. and St. John's River

Manatees congregate at Blue Springs to keep warm during cold weather. The water temperature of
the Spring is constant at about 70 degrees. The Spring flows into the St. Johns River.




The next two photos show a Florida 'Gator hanging around Blue Springs run. I actually saw a Manatee shoving the
'Gator around for about 60 seconds, but the 'Gator simply tolerated it and there was no altercation to be seen.
