This was about the best Team of Coaches produced in the world. Head Coach Frank Lorenzo motivated the Team like none other
and the reason we beat Hillsborough the first time in 9 years.
Of Course, having "Bullet Bill" Shields as Fullback did help somewhat.

Football Managers.
Standing: Humbert Fernandez #41, Phil Rotolo #39, Larry Pointer #42
Kneeling: Jack Lively and Charlie Poole

Lovely Creatures ... our Cheerleaders!

More Lovely Creatures ... our Majorettes!

Football - We beat rival Hillsborough High school in 1952 on Thanksgiving Day ... 20 to 13.
Below is the front cover of the Program booklet sold at the stadium.
Some of the pictures shown came from that Program booklet. The Program was 50 years old in 2002.

Right: Plant Band at half-time.

Huskey Plant Guard - Ruben Espinola

Mattie Eddington

Honored in our Silver Anniversary Year Book for 25 years
of faithful and conscientious service in maintaining our
lunchroom and cooking for hungry Panthers since the day
Plant high opened its doors.

No cook book needed, she knew all the recipes by heart.
A Classmate reminisces assisting Mattie in cooking Spare
Ribs for the annual Lettermen's Club BBQ held for all
Plant Hi atheletes. She taught him how to think big in
preparing the Sauce - 2 gallons of ketchup, 1 gallon of
mustard, a bottle of vinegar...etc. The most delicious
Ribs ever! We love you Mattie.
